4:23We are slaves to the clock anyway, this is just the extreme!
5:56I wonder who chose 25 as the age limit though, and why?
7:50No one says "I won't do anything stupid," unless they are about to do something stupid.
12:20Imagine being 105!
14:22"If I had all that time, I sure as hell wouldn't waste it."
15:36How does your arm know which way you want the transaction to go?
21:05You can tell by the music what is going to happen.
22:59"How long you been keeping time?"
24:28A month to cross the border!
25:23A year!
30:17Is he just scoping everything out? Because he's spending a lot of time and not enjoying himself much.
33:36Mr C and I did not know whether the hands were any good. Must learn basic poker.
37:53"The poor die and the rich can't live."
39:28I don't know how people can sleep with glowing arms like that.
41:22That policeman is so Matrix it hurts.
41:40Timekeeper, not policeman.
45:42Awesome police car! Or time car perhaps?
47:11I like that the cars make electric noises, though.
48:29That was the worst model car crash I've ever seen!
51:42The simple concept of people in the ghetto running more often is interesting.
58:40The hand on top is the way the transaction goes. Sorted.
1:00:16"It's nobody's fault what they're born with."
1:07:43They do call them cops, then.
1:08:54Do they have time for that kind of thing?
1:10:20I must say Raymond does not look 25.
1:12:2730% interest!
1:19:09Why do people always end up running around on rooftops? Seems like the worst place to be.
1:20:31She was running in those shoes?
1:27:43I don't see how you could shoot and win an armwrestle at the same time, but I approve.
1:31:10I like that the arm time creates a fashion for half a sleeve.
1:37:58So much running in this film!
1:42:20I also love that she hasn't felt the need to change her hair at all. Better than Bourne!

Thoughts

Saw the trailer for this one ages and ages and eons ago. I was super excited about the concept, but found the trailer to be quite long which made me worry it would be lengthy and complicated. Here's what I said at the time:

This concept seems very intriguing – not quite the time travel that I love so much, but using time as a unit of currency instead. I’ve never quite been convinced of Justin Timberlake in the lead role, but he was good in the Social Network, so I can’t hold his Michael Jackson dance moves against him. The three women of different generations all looking the same freaks me out just a little bit though.

Really enjoyed it. The concept is totally intriguing, I spent quite a long time pondering the idea afterwards. Some of the filmmaking was a let down, particularly the over-use of music to try and stir up emotions - predictable and disappointing. There was also this, which may be the most awful and obvious "toy car in place of real car for crash" scenes I have ever witnessed. Mr C and I both burst out laughing when we saw it, and he mentioned it was like Thunderbirds.

So, with a point deducted for the rather lacklustre efforts in filmmaking, I still think this is well worth a view.
