Based on the Saturday Night Live sketch of the same name, Wayne's World is a wacky, irreverent pop-culture comedy about the adventures of two amiably aimless metal-head friends, Wayne and Garth. Direct from Wayne's basement, 'Wayne's World' is the biggest show on local public access television. But now a sleazy network executive wants to produce a big-budget version. With the help of Wayne's girlfriend, the lovely rock singer Cassandra, they must battle to save the show.

5:16Bohemian Rhapsody still awesome, even on cassette tape.
6:17I didn't realise the Queen bit was so early in the film. Why would anyone bother to watch the rest?

Thoughts

I've seen this plenty of times before but not for a long time, and I couldn't really remember all that much about it. I particularly couldn't remember what the actual story was, or if there even was one.

It's a lot of fun. I particularly enjoyed the interaction with the camera, knocking a pencil off a table to have a "secret" word. There is a story, somewhat predictable in places, but with such bizarre characters, you can't always know where it's going to go.

It's the kind of film that absolutely doesn't take itself too seriously, and that just sucks you in too.
