Niall Horan at the Grand Ole Opry

Published August 23, 2026

I randomly stumbled across this video summing up Niall Horan's Grand Ole Opry debut, and it was so exciting! I've loved Horan's music but never really thought of it as leaning into country - however, when you hear it in the context of the iconic wood circle, it does make a certain sense.

I'd also missed that Horan had teamed up with Thomas Rhett, ultimately the reason he got invited to Nashville, I'm sure. The pair sang the song at the Opry which immediately made me want to listen to a Thomas Rhett album. Unfortunately this track is only available on a deluxe, which doesn't count for my specific album adventure, but doesn't mean I can't listen to it anyway!

I love how blown away Horan is by being in such a legendary place, I can't imagine how nerve-wracking but how much fun it is to play there!
