Thoughts

The gang return for a second adventure, but this time the mystery comes right to their door. With everyone staying at George's house, and a tutor coming in to give them additional lessons, there's a plot afoot. I didn't think this one was quite as good as the first, but mostly because I loved the island in the first one. This time, it's about secret passageways and scientific espionage!

It can be so frustrating how stubborn George is, particularly when you can see the bigger picture and if she wasn't being so stubborn she would be able to get on with her investigations in her own time. But thankfully, she's got her three friends and one dog around her to teach her more patient ways. (By the way, the intelligence imbued on Tim is a bit much, isn't it?)

Will be curious to read the third book and see what mischief the gang get into next.
