2:10Fish curry sounds so gross. Like fish tacos. Anything with fish I guess. I don't even mind fish really.
3:32Uh oh, I sense some science coming on.
4:23What's a neutrino?
6:57This is 2009. They've got three years to sort it all out.
10:51Aren't Euros and Dollars about the same? Maybe not in 2011.
13:41There's me worrying about the surface damage to the roads because of the ice. Nothing like this enormous earthquake!
16:40I'm glad that didn't happen when we went on a boat.
18:35I know that Yellowstone is a bit of a hotbed, isn't it?
22:00He ignored the signs. If something bad happens, it's his own fault.
28:45Well, that's not Google Maps.
29:45Kids can be so cruel.
31:40"Download" the blog? Who actually says that?
32:45Good old cartoons for us simple folks. Now I know what a neutrino is.
34:31I hope Rupert Murdoch does not get a free seat.
36:01I can't believe that's Amanda Peet - she looks like a completely different person.
39:46Is it wrong that 'let's get ready to rumble' just makes me think of Ant & Dec?
46:51A big donut! I love it!
52:06This film is awesome.
59:02A giant ash cloud. That sounds eerily familiar.
1:05:15"We're gonna need a bigger plane."
1:14:01I hope there are other women on that plane, otherwise continuing the human race will take a while.
1:19:03I can't understand how that plane gets off the ground normally, let alone in an apocalypse.
1:20:17How come China is alright?
1:23:37I really have no idea what the big Russian man is saying. And he's not even speaking Russian.
1:31:17What have we learnt from the destruction of the Vatican? Round, dome style roof top tower things are not a good design in an emergency.
1:45:39Is that a giraffe?
1:52:25Wasn't he in Eastenders? That takes the edge off a little bit, I gotta say.
1:58:29I figured out that it was a boat just one minute before they said it. Go me!
2:08:06I have bought all the effects so far, but the hand clasping thing... really?
2:12:40You can never really account for Air Force One crashing into your giant Ark.
2:17:26She wasn't watching her child very carefully.
2:26:50- What are they going to do for food and stuff?
2:28:10I'm surprised it only took 27 days for the world to settle down and the sun to come out.

Thoughts

I have always been a fan of a good disaster movie, and when I saw the trailer for this I knew I'd have to watch it. We had to wait for it to come out to rent on iTunes - so that we could enjoy the full HD experience.

Oh, it was just so good. This film was well over my self-imposed two hour attention span and I was gripped all the way through. It was good old-fashioned disaster movie stuff, but it worked. All of it. Even the plot holes and the mushy stuff didn't get in the way. I was glad that they actually had a plan to save the human race, rather than just running to the top of the nearest mountain. Loved it.
