1:45Black Eyed Peas get mentions everywhere!
3:54Hard enough going up in a helicopter, let alone hanging out of one as a joke.
5:30By foot or by kayak. Which would I choose?
7:49She might be the most annoying new wife ever.
13:12He said show it no fear, and she's being a big wuss about it. I would too, though.
14:40Nicholas Cage mention!
16:50Nothing bad ever happens in Hawaii, except for that whole murders business they're talking about.
17:52Natural Born Killers. Damn. No matter how many films I watch, it's never going to be enough.
21:27That would be us. Surrounded by paradise and... looking for a signal.
24:58How come you need permits to get around Hawaii?
32:42There's quite a lot of people on this trail. It may be paradise but it's not very private.
35:49It is tricky to be a writer, what with the overactive imagination that comes with it.
36:55Goodness, I wouldn't be happy if someone through an axe at me.
39:20"If you wait until an emergency to decide what to do, you're already dead."
48:08This story makes no sense. And why would she tell the stranger that?
50:05Oh my god, he actually killed a goat!
51:43I think they did it - Milla and the chap.
52:39Why is she suddenly suspicious? She was telling him to hush up before.

58:20This reminds me very much of The Beach.
1:00:23Excellent waves.
1:02:58I don't know what that was a picture of but I think it means I'm right.
1:11:52Ah, I get it. They ditched the video but left the photos. Rookie mistake.
1:15:31Flying axes! That was amazing.
1:17:45I am so going to use my phone as a periscope at some point.
1:21:49The one on top of the cliff must always have the advantage, surely?
1:22:58Ooh, he just tied his head back together.
1:26:41You can't fool an EMT. You can shoot one though. Damn.
1:27:01He is a Jedi. You shouldn't be surprised.
1:29:58They couldn't just shoot on her say so, could they?
1:31:17She did sort of the right thing in the end then. I'll forgive Milla just this once.

Thoughts

I had wanted to see this one since it appeared on the iTunes rental store, and I was all ready to watch it by myself. It turned up in the festive 99p film of the week special, so I knew it was meant to be. Then Mr C said he wanted to watch it too, so we both sat down ready to roll.

I liked this. It got off to a really slow start, and it wasn't at all as action packed as the trailer made out, but the slow burn really made you wonder who it was and what was going to happen. I loved the gory bits at the end, and I'm so happy that I guessed the twist. I'm on a really good streak with this guessing business at the moment. It wasn't exceptional but it was intriguing.
