1:12The titles aren't so inspiring. Clouds and text.
5:30Wadsworth... is that a reference to the board game manufacturers?
10:18Gongs should be banned!
10:49"I'm the butler. I butle, Sir."
11:07Wait a minute, that Space song is a Kipling quote??
16:19"Why have we all been dragged up here to this horrible place?" Way to ingratiate yourself.
21:20Pervert Doc Brown.
23:33Mr C just had a Superman moment when Mr Green took off his glasses and he suddenly recognised him from Spinal Tap.
30:29The wrench is not reassuring.
38:45"I'll catch her, fall into my arms." Hehehe.
43:04"Yep, two corpses, everything's fine."
45:19Where do you get massively long matches like that?
51:38At this point, they have made such a fuss, I cant even remember what they're looking for.
56:29It seems like such an Allo Allo accent.
1:06:37Singing telegram is so weird.
1:08:23The big reveal, just like Jonathan Creek.
1:10:51This is the whole film again but at x2 speed, like how I listen to podcasts. Maybe that's why I like it so much.
1:16:57It's the singing telegram girl I feel most sorry for.
1:24:55I forgot the alternate endings thing.
1:31:46Plain sight red herring.

Thoughts

So, I love this film. I've seen it over and over, although not for a good long while. I didn't think it would be Mr C's cup of tea, but eventually I got my way and managed to get it on our screens. Thankfully, it went down very well - quirky, imaginative, with some interesting characters, snappy dialogue and funny moments.

Things did start to unravel a little bit towards the end. It takes a while to get your head around Wadsworth repeating the film at times two speed, and I really think they've made an error with the three endings. I have no idea how that would have worked in the cinema, and one after the other just sits really weirdly. Pick one and go with it.

But I still love it, it has a hint of musicality about it, you've got the Jonathan Creek nature of the whodunit, and just generally, it's fab!
