6:15"Joe thinks Disneyland is Vegas for kids."
7:40He seems a bit old for her, not that age means anything anyways.
11:02All I got from that is she has to head something up on Monday. I hope that is enough information to be going on with.
15:40It is very bright there. And ew, the water.
20:53If I did some work for the CIA, I'd want to feel 007ish too.
25:13The Chief of Staff's name is Scooter?
28:28They have a big map on the wall. I used to like having a world map on the wall, but it was out of date before I'd finished hanging it.
31:11"Right now you're making a lot of little decisions that lead to one big decision."
39:54If this is what dinner parties are like, I'm glad we do not have very many of them.
45:08So many reports!
49:18It's good when a film can use legitimate news coverage to help tell the story.
51:34Do they really do that propaganda stuff? Littering!
54:30Earlier she said that money was tight, but they seem to have a flipping big house!
1:00:09He's far too smug for his own good.
1:02:36I have always wanted a yellow legal pad.
1:04:43I wonder if "It's over" is the most used phrase in films.
1:05:14What do you do when you aren't a spy anymore?
1:11:55I don't know why she is shouting counter-proliferation at him.
1:17:30They say each other's name a lot.
1:33:11Moving house a lot does make you tough. Mostly from all the packing.
1:39:19He's quite good at the whole public speaking lark.
1:41:48Ending with the real speech is genius.

Thoughts

I didn't know of this movie, and I'll be honest, I didn't really know much of the story behind it either. I did a tiny bit of research before we started watching and thus learnt it was based on the books by the spy involved. We were sold on the trailer, though, it looked good.

When this movie got going, it was brilliant. As soon as she was outed, it really got interesting. All the build up to that, though, I could barely understand let alone get involved in. I would have rather seen more of the aftermath and how they fought their way out, than the hour that was spent explaining the situation in the first place. I thought the acting by both Naomi Watts and Sean Penn was great, but their kids were really annoying, always chirruping on in the background.
