Thoughts
This appeared in an iTunes collection of Christmas films, and I couldn't really remember it being particularly Christmassy. Of course after the first scene you see it's snowing and it definitely is the festive period, so that goes to show how good my memory is. I had seen it before, but not for a while, and couldn't really remember what occurred - aside from the general chaos.
It was good, slightly more brutal than I might have thought, particularly as it is considered a family film really. The story that Phoebe Cates tells about her father really shocked me, and some of the ways the Gremlins meet their fate in the kitchen also stuck with me.
It's fun though, a good watch, although with plenty of fundamental flaws that mean you can't take it too seriously. Who doesn't want a Gizmo really?
