2:31I can't believe that is Anthony Hopkins. It is boggling my mind. If it wasn't for the voice, you wouldn't know.
4:38"You always know precisely where to plunge the dagger, don't you?"
8:20I didn't know Psycho was based on a true story. Although I haven't actually seen it, either.

11:50The word 'minions' has been ruined for me now. Ruined in the best possible way.
16:20It's hard to work out if that studio lot is shiny and new because it is a set or because it is probably brand new.

Thoughts

I don't think Hitchcock is a movie that were anxiously waiting for, or were even particularly aware of, until it arrived in the iTunes charts. We were looking for something a bit different, a bit shorter, and of a reasonably easy viewing nature, and this seemed to fit the bill perfectly.

I said it at the beginning, and then at least six other times throughout, I find it incomprehensible that it is Anthony Hopkins in there. So different. So good.

I think there was a lot that went over our heads here, having neither of us actually seen Psycho. The whole Ed Gein thing was understandable and clear enough but was probably more significant if you knew the story behind it. Regardless, you only really need to know the shower and that iconic noise and the rest takes care of itself.

It was enjoyable from start to finish, some great acting in there, although I thought Scarlet and Jessica were a bit underused - I wonder if there wasn't more to that story that could have been fleshed out a bit. But otherwise, top notch.
