5:47The original gates. Wow!
8:07Genetically modified dinosaurs is a really bad idea. The word spliced rings so many alarm bells.
9:51Love the little DNA thing from the first one!
13:08It looks like Center Parcs. But with dinosaurs, I guess.
20:56An army of dinosaurs also seems like a really bad idea.
24:23Laughing at the meme has slightly ruined the tension of this moment.

1:31:26Jeez, raptors are fast.
1:33:13Also, whoever would have thought the raptors would be the good guys?
1:40:57“You never mention him.” “No, I’m at work.” Ha! Love it.

Thoughts

I loved this. It can never get close to the first film, which has something special that I can't quite put my finger on, but it undoes a lot of the damage of the two sequels. Chris Pratt does an excellent job in the title role, although I feel like it wasn't too much of a stretch - guy being skeptical about crazy people messing with dinosaur DNA - who wouldn't be?

I did like the banter between him and Bryce, and she turned out to be a pretty good character herself, going through a nice evolution and having the great idea at the end to all but solve the situation.

I think a lot of what was great about this film was just the nostalgia of revisiting Jurassic Park/World. Seeing what they've done with the place since, spotting Dr Wu in action, and then the bits where they go back to the actual visitor centre of old. My heart was doing flip-flops at that point.

So yea, I loved it. It wasn't a masterpiece but it was a really good job, with some inventive thinking and some genuinely scary moments.
