Thoughts

We needed some light relief after the horrors of Indiana Jones, and thus the Muppets sequel seemed like a good plan. Mr C wasn't a huge fan of the last one, muppets and singing and that kind of thing, but he was keen on anything other than snakes.

I liked it, but I didn't think it was good as the first one. They said themselves that sequels are usually not as good, and it still had that nice note of self-awareness, but in the end, it wasn't as good no matter how aware of that it was. The story didn't really hold up as well as I'd hoped, and the human characters weren't quite as strong. Presumably Ricky was hired due to his skit with Elmo, but of course in an actual film, with a script to stick to, the magic wasn't there.

I did enjoy the French policeman working alongside Sam Eagle. Their badge fight was brilliant.
