Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, Illumination Entertainment's Sing stars Buster Moon, a dapper koala who presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. Buster is an eternal—some might even say delusional—optimist who loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Now faced with the crumbling of his life's ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world's greatest singing competition.

Thoughts

I've been looking forward to this one since I saw the trailer. Okay, yes, it's probably a bit childish and not at all groundbreaking (so like Zootopia, it's kinda painful) but also it's animals singing. Bunnies doing Nikki Minaj, a German pig with sass, what else do you need?

It was actually even better than I thought. I was hoping for relaxing fun singing with animals in place of humans, but it was actually a really good film too - the side stories of each character, everyone having to pull together to save the situation from disaster, it was all really, good.

Plus, Gunter really was brilliant.
