0:30I really like that they make all the idents a bit green and matrixy.
5:18That's Michael!
6:13"Are we ready to go?" "We're already late."
10:23Being known as "The Anomaly" can't do much for your self-esteem.
16:46Even in Matrix-land, there's a woman getting in the way.
19:51"I do not believe it to be a matter of hope, it is simply a matter of time."
26:54It's like Zion's version of Stomp.
35:56That's a pretty huge engineering level. I wonder if there's an actual plan for everything in there.
41:11I assume they get to choose what clothes they appear in the Matrix with, they could probably do with blending in a bit more.
42:56"You do not truly know someone until you fight them."
49:43"Then Zion will fall..." No pressure or anything!
54:56I don't know how they filmed this multiple Smith fight scene, but it's amazing.
57:47The bit with the pole is slightly less believable but still fab.
1:04:56Yay for French!
1:11:04You should always be wary of someone who puts on lipstick and then asks for a kiss. Or too many spy movies?
1:22:14It's weird to see a car without massive product placement.
1:24:56"Where is he?" "Just follow the sirens."
1:28:51I wonder if those yellow water things exploding was a Speed reference.
1:37:25Love Michael's YES! It must be awful just watching everything unfold on screen.
1:42:12I'm finding the sentinels a lot more scary this time round.
1:47:36Yea, you don't get away with calling Trinity "Little Lady".

Thoughts

I think it's a generally established fact that the first Matrix film is one of the best things ever, whilst the second two are not so much. However, I know that everyone around me hated them a lot more than me, and I remember having arguments with people about them at the time. Unfortunately, since then, I've realised there are only two scenes from the second two films that I can remember, which doesn't help me at all. So, we needed to work our way through the entire trilogy so the arguments could recommence!

I actually really quite like this. Neither of the scenes I could remember were in it, and even as the story unfolded, I couldn't have told you what was going to happen next - but as it was gradually happening, it was all coming back to me.

There's plenty not to enjoy, I know, and it's not a patch on the first one. It's not a necessary film, but I like that they have expanded on the world of the Matrix, and introduced new ideas like ghosts and vampires, and that we got to hear more from the awesome Oracle. I like the underground city, especially.

Some of the effects were absolutely incredible. That epic highway scene was great, and I swear, up until he picked up the pole, there were moments in the multiple Agent Smith fight that I truly believed they had managed to find 80 Hugo Weavings from somewhere.
