Ex criminal Jacob Sternwood is forced to return to London from his Icelandic hideaway when his son is arrested after suffering a gunshot wound during a heist gone wrong. This gives Sternwood's arch enemy, detective Max Lewinsky, his last chance to catch the man he's always been after. As the two nemeses hurtle towards each other, they start to uncover a deeper conspiracy that they will both need to solve in order to survive.

Thoughts
In the mood for something slightly low key, we picked this out on Netflix, and low key is exactly what it was. Really, it was like a BBC drama but with better lighting. A brilliant colour scheme and some fabulous cinematography, but ultimately just a bit of a detective drama around the glossier parts of London.
There's some conspiracy involved, that gets bigger and bigger to the point where it's almost unbelievable, and for whatever reason, the big showdown felt a bit out of place to me. I did enjoy James McAvoy though, doing a great job displaying a seething resentment that stopped just short of the more traditional rage. Not a bad way to spend ninety minutes, but not really anything special either.
