Couch 2 5K - Part 4

A slightly better week this week, although I had to work through a bit of "why am I so rubbish" emotional stuff, as you may notice halfway through. Week 6 Day 1 I must have been a bit smug about the twenty minute thing because today was quite tricky. It's been quite a few days since my last run, so perhaps I left it too long this time. Even so, …

Couch 2 5K - Part 3

It's been another slow "week" on the running front but not due to my inability to complete a workout. This time, it's been real life getting in the way. In iPod news, I fixed the syncing issue so the music returned, and I think now the runs are getting longer, I welcome the distraction rather than the silence. But the badminton club clashed with the chess club and I preferred the sitting down sort of extra activity. I do like to swim, and was in a swimming club when I was younger, but these days things are …

New start

I'm sure you remember a couple of posts back, I was commenting on the silliness of the people taking part in the London Marathon. And while I still uphold that view - 26 miles is just insanity! - somehow I have taken up running. I thought that by suggesting a walk, it would be a nice casual stroll with Mr C. Um, no. Somewhere along the line, the devil stole …

Run, London, run

Run, London, run

So, I'm watching the crazy people running the London Marathon, I do not understand how anyone can manage to run that far... I have trouble running to my car when it's raining! I think it's great though, all those people raising money for charities and coming together to do something worthy like that. Even Iain Duncan Smith's running!
