1:18Bruce is one of those names that doesn't seem right as a child.
4:37Ooh, Liam Neeson. He might ask him to join the A-Team.
8:23So... falling down a well made him want to fight crime?
13:56Oh, it wasn't the well. It was the opera.
16:17Good ol' Michael Caine.
17:00Batman is a ninja?
23:49That guy has a creepy voice and everything. Vengeance must be had!
26:23Gotham is a great name for a city.
28:46"You always fear what you don't understand."
33:00An army of ninjas must be the scariest thing in the world.
36:44Shouldn't they have asked him if he'd do that before they wasted months training him up in their ninja ways?
43:33Mmm, nice mansion.
47:50I should have done some research over who was in this film. Actors keep surprising me!
49:18Spelunking!
54:12Applied sciences appears to be the best department ever.
54:52Oh, the minging Batmobile!
1:02:25He has quite a distinctive mouth. If she knew him at all, she would recognise him.
1:08:21"It's not who you are underneath. It's what you do that defines you."
1:11:26If someone I was talking to kept disappearing, I'd think I was going mad.
1:17:19Recepticon... is that a Transformer?
1:25:11Probably should have asked him the questions before giving him a taste of his own medicine.
1:33:25How can he justify all that destruction, though?
1:40:31He's good at acting the bit where he's acting drunk. If you know what I mean.
1:41:29Ohh, I almost made the connection. I asked why they wanted the city mad. Should have realised!
1:43:49Next question - why do they want to destroy the city?
1:45:55Alfred is awesome.
1:49:42I wouldn't fancy being the only sane one among that lot.
1:54:22Is that SatNav? Or... wait for it... BatNav!
2:03:33The casting of him and his dad is spot on.
2:04:14I reckon, if he's going to rebuild a better Batcave, we should have had a Grand Designs special.
2:05:51The Joker!

Thoughts

I am very keen to see the second film of this new Batman reboot - the one that Heath Ledger got such acclaim for. To do that, we had to sit through this one, and whilst I wasn't really sure what to expect, I just knew that it was looong.

Yes, it was long, but actually I didn't really find it boring at all. There were a few bits where I was hoping something would happen soon, but as soon as I had the thought, it did. The pacing was great, the story was quite drawn out but not dull. The fact that all the stuff at the beginning was important to the end really made it what it was.

I didn't really like Christian Bale that much. He inhabited the role well enough, and I could totally buy that he was Batman, but I just didn't really warm to him at all. Maybe you're not meant to, he was definitely giving off a distant vibe.

I was unbelievably excited to see the Joker card at the end. I hope the next film lives up to my expectations.
