1:31Oh yea, Twoface!
3:36What kind of mad accent does Bane have??
6:56Harvey Dent Day is a rubbish name!
14:55Entrance to secret bunker opens when playing piano. I like very much.
22:51Is Catwoman bad then? My lack of comic book knowledge is hurting again.
29:22"Might be time to get some fresh air, start paying attention to the details."
32:34I do like Ms Cotillard.
36:08Never let strange women kiss you, they might have poison on their lips. Doctor Who taught me that.
38:22Morgan Freeman makes a good Q.
48:03That's mental they would prioritse Batman over people who just shot up the Stock Exchange!
49:03Batman does good cape.
56:07That bridge came out of the water like in Crystal Maze.

1:21:20They've discovered the Batstuff. How are we going to get out of this one?
1:28:58A lone child's voice, a national anthem, properly chilling.
1:39:33Those Batmobiles don't get any prettier in duplicate.
1:45:08Ooh, I didn't see that coming.
1:57:55Watching a city crumble is very depressing!
2:08:22I like a guy who doesn't need any extra second to think - one distraction and he's fighting, no matter what the distraction was.
2:22:00Sacrificing her friend too is quite harsh.
2:24:40Shooting at a nuclear bomb seems like a bad idea.
2:28:57No autopilot.
2:33:57Worst statue ever.

Thoughts

We were waiting for this one quite eagerly, and then I sort of forgot about it. But once we downloaded it for rent from iTunes, and scheduled the Film Watch for Saturday night, I suddenly got super excited. My only concern was some reports I had heard that the masked character was really hard to understand. There's nothing like bad audio to put me off something.

For a long film, this didn't feel too long and that is something I'm super sensitive too. It was really so good! There was tons I didn't remember from the previous two, but the only real thing that needed to be remembered was about Liam Neeson's character. It turns out that Bane was easy enough to understand, although his accent was beyond ridiculous. Batman's whisperings were the trouble, but he doesn't speak that much anyway.

The twist was good, and it was one of those that we felt stupid about afterwards because there were so many signs! I liked the new characters, there were so many famous faces to spot, what a cast! It didn't feel like the end of a trilogy, it really felt like there could be more afterwards. Unusual for a trilogy to peak at the end, but my ratings for the three films go 4/5 then 3/5 and then...

Rating: 5 / 5
