Thoughts

Mean Girls is one of those classic films that I watched once and promptly forgot about, but  enjoyed the hype that surrounded it. For example, I'd forgotten that "fetch" was a thing (or that it was trying to be a thing) until we watched this and it all came flooding back.

As a film to watch after some pretty serious endeavours recently, this was perfect. Teen movie, girls being bitchy to each other, some great one liners and jokes, and generally a lot of fun to be had. It's not perfect, but you can see why it has the same cult status as Clueless - a film of a very similar nature.

As always with films like this, it was also fun to see the younger actors and actresses in action - Lindsay Lohan before she went rogue, and also Rachel McAdams who we didn't really recognise until it was too late! Great film, lots of fun, a proper cult classic.
