0:25For a split second, there’s no way of knowing if you’re playing the right film or not!
4:43Not even five minutes in, I can see why people are mental for BB8.
9:32I worry about rolling droid getting sand everywhere.
12:50Downed star destroyer does make a fantastic backdrop.
17:15Trying to decide if he’s more or less frightening without the deep breaths.
21:06Trying to escape while still being attached is just crazy embarrassing.
30:08“Luke Skywalker? I thought he was a myth.” WHAT?
31:55Best garbage ever.
37:37That is some epic Kylo Ren rage!
41:01“And that thing can understand you, so watch.”
46:36Did they just do a Pretty Woman reference?
50:02Bighead McDougal is pretty scary. More than the Emperor anyways.
52:14“Move, ball.”
1:04:59BB8 going down steps is freaking hilarious.
1:09:27First mention of the Senate, for a change.
1:16:10Yay Poe, I was worried.
1:20:40So much eeks!
1:31:39Not as catchy as the droid quote but it’ll do.
1:37:18“That’s not how the force works.”
1:42:12“Escape now, hug later.”
1:58:07So far no one appears to have lost an arm.

Thoughts

It feels like forever we've been waiting for this to be released in iTunes. After vaguely pondering the idea of going to the cinema to see it to avoid spoilers, we somehow managed to avoid anything remotely like a spoiler. I saw a couple of things here and there but until you've seen the film they don't really mean anything. So, thankfully, went into this fresh and oh so excited.

It was brilliant! I don't quite know how they get away with making the exact same film as A New Hope without it being either corny or boring, but it was neither of those things. Gasping moments when the brilliant older characters are revealed, and great joy at how fabulous the new generation is.

Plus BB8 was even better than I'd expected!

It's hard to know how to sum up the film, because even though I've only been a Star Wars fan for a year, I've become quite obsessed. I had the fear that everyone else did that this would be a letdown, and it was anything but. Rey was about as brilliant a hero as you could hope for, some of the ideas were great - light saber fight in the snow, etc - and there was a great mix of scary beasts, cuter ones, proper heroes and terrible villains.

It's pretty much everything you want from a Star Wars film, and on top of that has scenes with Carrie Fisher AND her daughter Billie Lourd in them. Ridiculously good.
